2016-17 AMIS Officers

 

Each year we hold elections for a president, vice president, and treasurer/secretary. Elections are held in March for officer positions beginning in August and ending in May.
President

The President is responsible for developing and coordinating activities and services of the organization. This generally includes activities such as running meetings, introducing and thanking guest speakers, coordinating efforts with the parent organization (AIS), applying for awards and resources, and assisting faculty advisors and other officers.

Vice President (may be one or two people)

Secretary/Treasurer

The Secretary/Treasurer maintains responsibility for scheduling officers’ meetings, is responsible for maintaining accurate records of the organization’s financial status, promoting fundraising activities (if any), assisting other officers in determining budgets for events and preparing the budget for funding proposals.

Criteria for eligibility for officer positions:Minimum GPA of 2.0 Willing to meet at least once a month for officer meetings or more often if needed. Able to attend most professional development and social events. Paid membership dues
